A number of seals inhabit Antarctic waters, including the Crabeater Seal, Weddell Seal, Antarctic Fur-seal and the Leopard Seal. The Leopard Seal is the subject of this stamp issue. The four stamps in this issue give us two distinctive views of the Leopard Seal – above the ice and underwater. The stamps feature a mother seal with pup on pack ice, a roaring bull on pack ice, a mother seal and pup playing underwater and an adult seal pursuing penguins underwater.
