The stamps in this issue are designed by Thaneth Ponchaiwong of the Communications Authority of Thailand Philatelic Department. The stamps feature waterlilies found in both countries – Nymphaea immutabilis (45c and 3 baht) and Nelumbo nucifer, commonly known as the East Indian lotus or sacred lotus (AU$1.00 and 3 baht).
