This set of ten stamps was being issued to accommodate the increase in postage rates – Nine designs at the base rate and one for large letters. The 45c stamp themes are Happy Birthday, Teddy, Let's Party, Daisy, Happy Ever After (Gold Ring), Romance, Kangaroo and Flag, Australia and Globe as well as Car. The AU$1.00 stamp theme is Happy Ever After (Silver Ring).
