This issue by Australia Post celebrates 100 years of motor racing in Australia. The stamp designs are based on watercolour illustration of six race cars throughout the years, emphasising on the speed and the excitement of motor racing. The race cars featured are 1928 Austin 7 and Bugatti Type 40 tourer, 1963 Bob Jane's Jaguar Mark II, 1966 Jack Brabham's Repco-Brabham, 1972 Peter Brock's Holden Torana XU1 and John French's Ford Falcon XY GTHO, 1980 Alan Jones' Williams FW07 Ford as well as 2001 Benetton-Renault.
