This is the first joint issue in the Malaysian philatelic history. This joint issue is between Pos Malaysia and China Post, and it features two species of rare flowers. The cannonball tree (Couroupita guianesii) is featured in the 30 sen and RM1.00 stamp, while camellia (Camellia nitidissima) is featured in the RM1.00 stamp. Only the RM1.00 stamps are jointly issued by Pos Malaysia and China Post. Both stamps issued by China Post are at a denomination of RMB0.80.
