This stamp issue by Australia Post commemorates the 50th anniversary of the 5 Apr 1954 visit of Queen Elizabeth II to the Cocos (Keeling) Islands. The stamps are designed in a style reminiscent of the 1950s, featuring the Queen greeted by Cocos Malay musicians (50c), the Queen waving from the Royal Yacht Gothic (50c), the Queen and the Clunies Ross (Oceania) House (AU$1.00) as well as the Queen presented with a model of a Malay Jukong (AU$1.45).
