The Institution of Audit was established in Malaya during the British Colonial administration in the early 19th century, with the office of the Auditor General formed separately in both the Federated Malay States and the Straits Settlements. In 1932, both institutions were merged and placed under the Director of Colonial Audit, London. In 1957, when the Federation of Malaya attained its independence, the post of Director of Auditor was abolished and the post of Auditor General of the Federation of Malaya was established. Celebrating the Institute's 100th anniversary in 2006, this set of stamps features the National Audit Academy (30 sen), the National Audit Department Logo (50 sen) and the Auditor General's Report (50 sen).
