The University of Malaya is the oldest and most esteemed university in Malaysia. The university was established on 28 Sep 1905. In conjunction with the university's 100th anniversary in 2005, Pos Malaysia issued a set of stamps to commemorate this milestone of the university, featuring a couple of buildings within the university, namely Dewan Tunku Canselor or Tunku Chancellor Hall (30 sen), the University Malaya Library (50 sen) and the University Malaya Medical Centre (RM1.00).
