Australia's colourful parrots are among the most beautiful and spectacular birds. Parrots can be found in many habitats, from tropical rainforests to the desert, and from the mountains to the coast. They belong to the group of birds known as Psittaciformes. The stamps in this issue feature some of these beautiful birds – the Princess Parrot, Rainbow Lorikeet, Green Rosella, Red-capped Parrot and the Purple-crowned Lorikeet.
