A set of eight definitive stamps, featuring birds of Malaysia, was issued by Pos Malaysia in 2005 to replace the long running definitive stamps issued back in 1986, which featured fruits of Malaysia. The eight birds of Malaysia included in this stamp issue are the Spotted Dove (20 sen), Ochraceous Bulbul (30 sen), Long-tailed Parakeet (40 sen), White-rumped Shama (50 sen), Olive-backed Sunbird (75 sen), Green-winged Pigeon (RM1.00), Banded Pitta (RM2.00) as well as the Imperial Pigeon (RM5.00).
