Duck is the common name for birds from the sub-family Anatinae. It is the largest group of aquatic birds. They are related to swan and geese and are the smallest of them in size. The first stamp issue by Pos Malaysia in 2006 features a few species of wild duck – the Common Teal, known locally as Itik Eropah (30 sen); the White-winged Wood Duck, known locally as Serati Hutan (30 sen); the Northern Pintail, known locally as Itik Muara (50 sen); as well as the Northern Shoveler, known locally as Itik Sudu (50 sen).
