Dragon boat racing is a team sport originating from China. The International Dragon Boat Federation (IDBF) organises the biennial World Nations Championships, also called the World Dragon Boat Racing Championships (WDBRC) and Club Crew World Championships. Malaysia hosted the 6th IDBF Club Crew World Championships in Penang. Commemorating this event, the stamps in this issue feature various dragon boats during the race – Boat No. 3 and 6 (30 sen), Boat No. 2 and 5 (50 sen) and Boat No. 1 and 4 (RM1.00).
