A nostalgic stamp series, which started with Driving Through the Years, this stamp issue by Australia Post looks at a favourite Australian holiday pastime – caravanning. Caravanning found a niche in Australia's leisure industry in the 1920s. The uptake of motorcar, the development of road networks and maps, the establishment of petrol pumps and the availability of leisure time all played a crucial role in the growing popularity of caravanning. This stamp issue illustrates how caravan has changed over time, all the way from 1950s to current.
