The centenary of the scouting movement was celebrated worldwide in 2007, marking the first experimental camp for 20 boys at Brownsea Island, England in Aug 1907. The growth of scouting in Australia was organic and occurred during the first half of 1908. Scouting is now an international movement dedicated to building peace and understanding among young people of different cultures and backgrounds. Celebrating 100 years of scouting in Australia, this stamp issue features images of contemporary scouts in scout camp (50c), international scouts of different nationality (AU$1.30) and Lord Robert Baden-Powell, the founder of scouting (AU$1.95). Scouts Australia emblem appears in all three stamps.
