The Federal Land Development Authority (Felda) is a Malaysian government agency established with the intention of eradicating poverty and developing the federal land. Formed on 6 Jul 1956, it started out with rubber and oil palm plantation as its core focus. Felda has since moved onwards by diversifying its economic activities to include manufacturing, services, engineering, transportation, shipping and construction, just to name a few. Celebrating Felda's 50 years in 2006, the stamps in this issue feature images of oil palm and rubber trees, signifying "Cultivating the Seeds of Success" (30 sen), images of settlements, signifying "Towards A Better Life" (50 sen) as well as the old and current Felda's office (RM1.00).
