Our lives are marked by personal milestones, which are often events of social connection and celebration. Australia Post has been releasing stamp issues in its Special Occasions stamp series to provide postal options in the spirit of such events. This set of ten Special Occasions stamps was released in 2008 to coincide with the new postage rates then. A number of the designs recognise specific events, such as the birth of a child, a wedding or a birthday, while others are appropriate for wider use.
