In 2007, Malaysia celebrated the Golden Jubilee of its independence. Many leaders have played significant and important roles towards achieving Malaya independence on 31 Aug 1957. This second set of stamps in the Golden Jubilee Independence issue features five of such significant leaders. They are Dato' Onn Jaafar, Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj, Tun Abdul Razak, Tun Tan Cheng Lock and Tun V.T. Sambanthan.
