The School of Postal Services was launched in 1889 to provide an education in a specific area of expertise, so that there would be adequate number of personnel to serve in an organization that was rapidly expanding. During the initial stage, students learnt and practiced via on the job training. After graduation, they would be appointed government officials. Present day postal students are required to attend classes and undergo training, before being assigned to different postal offices. The single stamp in this issue, to commemorate 120 years of Postal School in Thailand, features images of the Postal School, and the Postal School emblem at top left of the stamp.
