This special commemorative cover was issued by Pos Malaysia in 2009 to mark the 35th anniversary of the establishment of Malaysia-China diplomatic relations. A joint communique was signed in Beijing on 31 May 1974 during the visit of Malaysia's second Prime Minister, Tun Abdul Razak Hussein, which formally established the diplomatic relations between both countries. The "stamp" in this issue is in the shape of a fan, with images of the tallest towers then in Malaysia and China, besides national flowers of respective countries. This issue bears a 95 sen stamp, being the postage rate for a letter to be sent to China at the time of issue.
