This stamp issue by Thailand Post, celebrating 2012 National Children's Day, features illustration of comic-style characters of a Thai classical literature based on the Javanese tale titled Inao. Inao – The Best of Verse Drama, is a traditional verse drama which was written by King Buddha Lerdlah Naphalai or King Rama II. This verse drama is one of the literary masterpieces of the Rattanakosin Period and it is treasured as the best of verse drama. The stamp features four scenes from the tale – Inao's dagger flashing, Bussaba consulting the candle, Joraka falling passionately in love with Bussaba and Inao disguised as a forest bandit named Misara Panyi.
