This stamp issue by Pos Malaysia features ten famous royal palaces in Malaysia. The stamps in this issue feature photographic images of Istana Negara, Istana Besar Seri Menanti of Negeri Sembilan, Istana Alam Shah of Selangor, Istana Arau of Perlis, Istana Maziah of Terengganu, Istana Anak Bukit of Kedah, Istana Balai Besar of Kelantan, Istana Abu Bakar of Pahang, Istana Besar of Johor and Istana Iskandariah of Perak. Istana Negara is the official residence of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, the monarch of Malaysia; while the remaining royal palaces are the official residence of the respective Sultan or Yang di-Pertuan Besar of each state. Each state's map and Coat of Arms are also shown in respective stamp.
