This stamp issue by Pos Malaysia aims to raise awareness of Malaysian towards the threatened habitats in Malaysia. Three threatened habitats are being featured in this stamp issue, namely forest habitat – tapirs wandering at the edge of forest looking at tractor clearing the forest (60 sen); sea habitat – green sea turtle trapped in a fishing net (70 sen); as well as river habitat – otter dying of hunger as fishes in the river are dead due to pollution (80 sen). Indeed, caring for our environment is of utmost importance, so as to ensure the survival of the flora and fauna, as well as mankind.
