Birds have often captivated the imagination and inspiration of mankind. From watching and studying these winged wonders, mankind has learned to appreciate the beauty and uniqueness of these creatures. Malaysia has over 830 species of birds, out of which 16 are endemic (found nowhere else in the world). This stamp issue features three of these unique birds of Malaysia – the Malaysian Peacock-Pheasant (30 sen), Malaysian Whistling Thrush (50 sen) and the Milky Stork (50 sen).
