Khon Kaen University is a public research university in Northeastern Thailand established in 1964. It was the first university established in Northeastern Thailand and remains the largest and oldest university in the region. Besides disseminating the fame of the university, this stamp issue by Thailand Post also celebrates the university's 50th anniversary in 2014. The single stamp in this issue features the Golden Jubilee Convention Hall of Khon Kaen University.
