Something for cat owners to really purr about, this stamp issue by Australia Post introduces five cute and well-cared-for cats of varying coat lengths, colourings and personalities – Charo, Bubu, Sweetie, Cato and Briony. The first social cat club in Australia was founded in 1919 in Victoria, and the first national cat association, The Governing Council of the Cat Fancy, was also set up in Victoria in 1928. The cats featured in the stamps span the four categories of cats used by many national and state cat associations in Australia.
