The Macao Chamber of Commerce was established in 1913. Since its establishment, the Association has been uniting the industrial and commercial sectors, driving the economic development, promoting further cooperation, serving the society, caring the people's livelihood, promoting the social developments and making great contributions for Macau. This stamp issue by Macau Post commemorates the centenary of the Association. The stamp in the miniature sheet features the Octagonal Pavilion Library, a reading and newspaper room attached to the Macao Chamber of Commerce. It is the first Chinese library in Macau and the first library opened to the public.
