Pos Malaysia, in collaboration with WWF-Malaysia, issued this set of stamps to raise awareness and educate the public on the alarming decline of Malaysia's endangered big cats. These wild cats are threatened by forest conversion and habitat loss due to development and agriculture, as well as rampant poaching. There are nine species of wild cats in Malaysia, some can only be found in Peninsular Malaysia, whereas some are just found in Borneo. The stamps in this issue feature the Leopard (60 sen se-tenant), Sunda Clouded Leopard (80 sen) and the Clouded Leopard (80 sen).
