This stamp issue by Pos Malaysia celebrates the installation of HRH Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah as the 35th Sultan of Perak. HRH was proclaimed the Crown Prince of Perak on 15 Apr 1987 and became the 35th Sultan of Perak on 29 May 2014 on the death of his father, Sultan Azlan. The installation ceremony took place on 6 May 2015. The stamps in this issue, which was launched by HRH a few days prior to the installation ceremony, feature royal portraits of Sultan Nazrin Shah and Raja Permaisuri Perak Tuanku Zara Salim. For the first time in Pos Malaysia's history, a special feature of gold ink was used on the crest and words on the stamps. The glossy finishing on the stamps brings an extra shine to the gold ink.
