Pos Malaysia released this set of stamps in conjunction with the official opening of Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (klia2) on 2 May 2014. Built to replace the previous Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT) at approximately RM4 billion, it is the largest purpose-built terminal optimised for low-cost carriers in response to the exponential growth of low-cost travel in the region. The four stamps in this issue feature the Main Terminal Building, the Skybridge, Gateway@klia2 and the Departure Hall. Gateway@klia2 is an integrated shopping complex that is connected to the Main klia2 Terminal Building.
