Corals are invertebrate animals belong to a large group of colourful and fascinating animals called Cnidaria. Although Cnidarians exhibit a wide variety of colours, shapes and sizes, they all share the same distinguishing characteristics – a simple stomach with a single mouth opening surrounded by stinging tentacles. There are generally two kinds of corals – hard corals and soft corals.  Hard corals are the reef-builders of the coral world; while soft corals are distinguished by the eight tentacles on each polyp and have a feathery appearance. This stamp issue features some of these beautiful living corals – Sea Anemone, Soft Coral, Feather Stars and Sea Pen.
