This stamp issue on scented flowers is a continuation on the earlier stamp issue back in 2001 (Series I issued on 27 Mar 2001 featuring Ylang Ylang, Spanish Cherry and Indian Rose Chestnut). This second series features the Bread Flower (70 sen), Yellow Saraca (80 sen) and the Cannonball Flower (80 sen). Each pair of stamps has one stamp with budding flowers (top stamp) and the other with flowers in full bloom (bottom stamp). This stamp issue also unveils stamps with Jawi inscription for the word "Malaysia", of which Pos Malaysia would produce all its future stamps in this manner.
