2015 marks Singapore's 50 years of independence. Celebrating this Golden Jubilee, a series of three commemorative stamp sets has been released yearly from 2013 to 2015. The first stamp set, with the theme "Our Journey Together", was released in 2013 while the second stamp set, with the theme "I am Singaporean" was released in 2014. This third stamp set, with the theme "A Brighter Future Together" was released in 2015, celebrating the nation's hopes for the future – United as One People (1st Local), A Smart Singapore (2nd Local), Hear Us Roar (60c), Journeying to Our Aspirations (70c), Our Heritage, Our Culture, Our Future (90c) and Harmonious at Heart (S$1.30).
