2017 marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Singapore and Indonesia, a significant milestone for both countries. Both countries enjoy a close and warm relationship with collaborations in many sectors. To commemorate and celebrate the close bilateral ties of both countries, Singapore Post and Pos Indonesia jointly issued this set of stamps, featuring corals found in both countries. The Coral Reef theme was chosen to signify the diversity of their relationship and both countries are linked by a common marine landscape. Both stamp designs are jointly issued, with the stamps issued by Pos Indonesia are both at a denomination of 5,000 Rp.
