2020 last stamp issue by Singapore Post features the Maps of Early Singapore. These rare maps were from the prized collection of the National Library of Singapore, which offer a fascinating window into Singapore's history. References to Singapore in European and Chinese maps from the 17th and 18th centuries affirm the island's strategic importance to explorers, seafarers, traders and foreign powers of the early maritime world. They also preserve on record the various indigenous names of ancient Singapore – Singapura from a 1604 map drawn by Manuel Godinho de Erédia (1st Local), Singa Pora from a 17th-century map (70c), Dan Ma Xi 淡马锡 (i.e. Temasek) from the Chinese Mao Kun 茅坤 Map (90c) and Pulo Ou Isle Panjang (i.e. Pulau Panjang or "long island" in Malay) from a 18th-century map, which refers to the main island of Singapore (S$1.40).

Sharing herewith also the presentation pack which I won from a Facebook contest organised by National Library of Singapore.
