A continuation to the earlier stamp issue on places of worship in Malaysia (Series I issued on 21 Nov 2016), this second series does not only celebrate Malaysia as a melting pot of different races, religion and cultural backgrounds, but also highlights the unique architecture and historical significance of the places of worship featured. The places of worship highlighted in the stamps are Sultan Ismail Petra Silver Jubilee Mosque in Kelantan, Hong San Si Temple in Sarawak, Sri Karthivel Murugan Maha Parasakthi Patchai Amman Temple in Perak, St George's Church in Penang and Gurdwara Sahib in Labuan. 2019 also marks St George's Church's 200th anniversary of consecration, of which the 200th anniversary logo is also included in the stamp.
