Postcrossing is a project created in 2005 that allows its members to send postcards and receive postcards back from random members around the world, and that's real physical postcard, not electronic postcard. Postcrossing is the union of the words "postcard" and "crossing" and its origin is loosely based on the bookcrossing site. Pos Silang, i.e. postcrossing in the Malay language, is the theme of this stamp issue to celebrate World Post Day 2017. The stamps illustrate, around a globe showing the map of Malaysia, the different stages of postcrossing – writing, sending, receiving and repeating the whole process. The World Post Day logo and Pos Silang logo are also included in all stamps.
