First declared during the UPU Congress in Tokyo, Japan held in 1969, World Post Day has been celebrated on 9 Oct each year to commemorate the establishment of the Universal Postal Union (UPU) in 1874 in Bern, Switzerland, as well as all the hard work and social contributions of the postal services worldwide. Celebrating World Post Day in 2020, Pos Malaysia issued this set of stamps featuring the innovations that have played a role in transforming the postal service beyond mail in Malaysia – the Mobile Post Office @ Pos-On-Wheels, Pos Automated Machine (PAM) and Pos Laju's EziBox parcel lockers.
