There are a total of 12 animal signs in the Chinese zodiac, which is based on five cycles of 12 years each. 2020 is the Year of the Metal Rat; 1960 being another of such year within the century. Celebrating the Year of the Metal Rat, besides the annual zodiac stamps, Singapore Post also issued a Special Collector's Sheet with a commemorative S$10.00 stamp. The Collector's Sheet is encased in a folder along with a set of zodiac-themed red packets. The design of the Collector's Sheet is a modern take on the Chinese tradition of paper-cutting, one of China's oldest and most popular folk art. The commemorative stamp itself features the Chinese character ιΌ (Rat).
