Singapore hosted the 28th SEA Games from 5 to 16 Jun 2015, with the Singapore Sports Hub as the main venue for the Games. Commemorating this event, the stamps in this issue features the SEA Games mascot Nila in various poses, representing the three key values of Courage, Passion and Friendship – with a bundle of positive energy, Nila's Courage (1st Local) is matched only by his ability to charge up the crowd; his heart-shaped face represents Friendship (70c), where bonds are created through competition and the love of the game; while his fiery red mane symbolises the burning Passion (90c) for all things sport. Adopting the theme of Celebrate the Extraordinary (S$1.30), the Games is about connecting individuals, communities and countries in their dreams. The name, Nila finds in its roots from Sang Nila Utama, the founder of Singapura.
