2015 marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Singapore and France, a relationship that has been remarkable over the years. To mark this occasion, France has invited Singapore to present the best of its contemporary arts, culture and heritage in a large-scale showcase – the Singapour en France – le festival (Singapore Festival in France). As part of the festival, Singapore Post and La Poste jointly release a stamp issue entitled "Street Art". The second joint stamp issue between the two countries, this stamp issue features an iconic landmark in France – Eiffel Tower (1st Local) and Singapore's iconic mascot – the Merlion (S$2.00); illustrated in a vibrant, youthful interpretation. Both stamp designs are jointly issued, with the stamps issued by La Poste are both at Monde 20ยบ No Face Value.
