2017 celebrates the anniversaries of a couple of organisations in Singapore that have positive contribution to their communities. This stamp issue collectively commemorates the 100th Anniversary of Girl Guides Singapore (1st Local), the 50th Anniversary of Outward Bound Singapore (70c) and the 100th Anniversary of Lions Clubs International (S$1.30). Each of these organisations has great social impact on the society and among the youths. Girl Guides Singapore is the leading co-curricular activities group for girls in Singapore. Outward Bound Singapore is part of the National Youth Council, and is a pioneer and leader in outdoor education in Singapore. Meanwhile, Lions Clubs supports the Lions Home for The Elders, The Lions Befrienders Service Association, The Lions Community Service Foundation and The Lions SaveSight Centre in Singapore.
