This stamp issue by Singapore Post features four birds of prey that are native to Singapore. Birds of prey, also known as raptors, hunt and feed on other animals. These birds are characterised by keen vision that allows them to detect prey during flight and powerful talons and beaks. Most of them have wings made for them to glide across sky, and the purpose of the broad and powerful wings is for the birds to fly at greater distance. The birds featured in this issue are the Changeable Hawk Eagle (1st Local), White-bellied Sea Eagle (70c), Brahminy Kite (90c) and the Black-winged Kite (S$1.30).
