This stamp issue by Singapore Post, in conjunction with Singapore's National Day 2017, illustrates an interesting juxtaposition of various morning scenes that are close to the hearts of Singaporeans. The scenes depicted in these colourful stamps are all familiar morning scenes in the heartland – children dropped off at school (1st Local), catching a bus to work (2nd Local), enjoying breakfast at a hawker centre (60c), cycling on the park connector network (70c), exercising at a fitness corner (90c) and grocery shopping at a wet market (S$1.30).
