Having a fun time with board games among family and friends is one of the favourite childhood memories of many. This stamp issue features five of these traditional board games that were popular in Singapore during the 70s and 80s, enjoyed by both young and old. Illustrated using freehand style drawing, the board games featured are Chinese Chess (1st Local), Diamond Game (2nd Local), Aeroplane Chess (50c), Snakes and Ladders (70c) and Checkers (S$1.30). This stamp issue is sure to evoke fond childhood memories for many.
