2019 marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Singapore and Philippines, a significant milestone both countries have built. Over the years, both countries enjoy a close and warm relationship with good collaborations. To celebrate the close bilateral ties of both countries, Singapore Post and Philippine Postal Corporation jointly release a stamp issue featuring butterflies endemic to Singapore and Philippines respectively – Common Rose Butterfly and Luzon Lacewing Butterfly. Both stamp designs are jointly issued, with the stamps issued by Philippine Postal Corporation are at a denomination of 12 ₱ (Common Rose Butterfly) and 45 ₱ (Luzon Lacewing Butterfly).
