2019 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Singapore and Poland. Over the years, both countries have strengthened the relations between the governments and the state agencies, in the business sector and last but not least, at the people to people level. To commemorate this significant milestone, and to reaffirm the friendly and growing relations of both countries, Singapore Post and Poczta Polska jointly release this stamp issue featuring two regionally extinct birds that have been revived in both countries. Representing Singapore is the Oriental Pied Hornbill, known for its trademark casque, a yellowish-white structure on its bill; while the Polish stamp features the Peregrine Falcon, a medium-sized bird of prey commonly found across Poland. Both stamp designs are jointly issued, with the stamps issued by Poczta Polska are both at a denomination of 3.30 zł.
