Established on 8 Aug 1967, ASEAN seeks to forge a collaborative community that fosters economic growth, political security and social progress in the region. Singapore is honoured to assume the Chairmanship of ASEAN in 2018, and this stamp issue commemorates Singapore's Chairmanship, efforts and commitment in the areas of trade, defence and youth for the ASEAN Community in 2018. The stamps in this issue incorporate the modern and stylised 2018 ASEAN Chairmanship logo, with each of the three designs depicts one of the three pillars of the ASEAN Community – Political-Security, Economic and Socio-Cultural.
