Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM), also known as Department of Broadcasting, Malaysia is the state broadcaster of Malaysia. Established on 1 Apr 1946 as Radio Malaya, it is the first and the oldest broadcaster in the country. When Malaysia was formed on 16 Sep 1963, Radio Malaya was renamed Radio Malaysia while Televisyen Malaysia was established on 28 Dec the same year. Both merged in 1969 to form the present day broadcast department. Commemorating RTM's 75th anniversary in 2021, this stamp issue by Pos Malaysia comes in four uniquely designed stamps, featuring RTM’s progress in each era – The Radio Era, The Radio and Television Era, The Coloured Television Era and The Digital and Multimedia Era.
