What started out as founding Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew's vision of building Singapore into a Garden City has since progressed significantly with Singapore becoming a globally renowned biophilic City in a Garden today. Skyrise greenery has grown and flourished in the last 20 years, shaped by the creativity and passion of many built environment talents. Besides beautifying the urbanscape, skyrise greenery also helps improving building performance and mitigating the impacts of buildings on the environments. This stamp issue celebrates skyrise greenery projects in the last 10 years, featuring prominent buildings with skyrise greenery in Singapore – Kampung Admiralty (1st Local), Jewel Changi Airport (60c), Oasia Hotel Downtown (70c), SkyTerrace@Dawson (80c), Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum (90c) and Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (S$1.40). These stamps are also the tallest stamps issued in Singapore's philatelic history.
