Established when Singapore was just 6 years into her independence, the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) had just 20 officers when it was founded. Formed in Nov 1971, CNB was tasked with fighting the scourge of drugs, to make Singapore a safer place without drugs. Over the years, CNB has evolved from an enforcement agency to an agency that focuses on Enforcement, Education and Engagement. Celebrating CNB's 50th anniversary in 2021, this set of stamps features anti-drug messages to serve as a reminder that CNB's commitment towards a Singapore without drugs. Grungy textures and the weathered look and feel used in the stamp design aim to convey the destructive impact of drug addiction.
